Family time: Why a Hot Tub is Perfect for Busy Families
Modern families have a lot of things to be thankful for. We’re healthier than we’ve ever been before, we have access to free education and we have 24-hour entertainment and brilliant food in our supermarkets. There’s never been a better time to be a kid or a parent.
However, whilst we spend about just the same amount of time together, we’re not always actually ‘with’ each other. Between the turn of the millennium and now, something called alone time together has grown quite dramatically. That’s where we’re sat together but we’re so engrossed in our smartphones and tablets that we might just as well be sat in a room alone.
Pop into many homes nowadays and you’ll see at least one or two people either checking their social media feeds or watching a video online. There’s nothing wrong with that but it seems we’re doing it more often than not.
Busy parents also find it difficult to get enough quality time in the day to be with the kids. Finding more family time can be difficult but it’s about setting periods of the day aside and making sure that everyone is together. Mixing up different activities helps to provide quality family time that is good for everyone.
Getting a Hot Tub
One way to really get kids and parents energised and together is to have a hot tub installed. With more and more of us actively searching out activities that we can do together, a hot tub is actually the perfect solution. It can be installed outside your home and it’s something everyone can enjoy.
A hot tub is not only fun, it’s great for overall health and wellbeing. Let’s face it, most kids love being near water, especially when it’s a nice hot day.
The Ideal Antidote to Digital Devices
Kids can get a more than a little grumpy if you decide to take away their smartphone or tablet. It takes something a little special to get them to come outside and doing something entirely different. A hot tub is an excellent investment because it’s something the kids will never get tired of.
A family gathering around the hot tub is much better than everyone sitting in front of the TV, scrolling through their social media feeds.
For parents, it’s a great way to sit back and relax after a hard day of work. For the kids, it’s a wonderland, a mini pool in the back yard they can have lots of fun with. Of course, as the kids get older they can be a little more dismissive but if it’s a nice day they’ll still get quite a lot of fun out of a hot spa.
And, when the kids have gone to bed, it’s just the right time for parents to sit back in the warm water and have some well-earned rest.
