Outstanding Achievement Award for Catalina Spas Director
Local Hot Tub Distributor Bubbles with Success at Annual Industry Awards
Stephen Crabb from Catalina Spas, based in Salisbury, Wiltshire is celebrating after being recognised for his outstanding service to the Hot Tub industry, at the prestigious BISHTA Awards. The British and Irish Spa and Hot Tub Association (BISHTA) Awards were held last night (Sunday 3 February) in conjunction with the Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association (SPATA) Awards at The De Vere Grand Hotel, Brighton. The BISHTA Awards were sponsored by Catalina Spas, Elite Spas, Jacuzzi UK, Spa Crest Europe and Spafix Direct.
The award was given to Stephen Crabb for Outstanding Achievement in recognition of the huge contribution he has made to BISHTA, having been one of the original five people involved in setting up the Association over a decade ago. He has been Chairman of BISHTA and also served as President of the British Swimming Pool Federation. He has made a huge contribution to BISHTA, having been one of the original five companies involved in setting up the Association over a decade ago.
He was a Committee member from the start and then took over as BISHTA Chairman from 2004 to 2007 and has continued to work tirelessly for the Hot Tub industry.
He was one of the BISHTA representatives that developed the Management of Spa Pools publication with the Health Protection Agency and HSE.
He was the first BISHTA chairman to become BSPF President and he is still on BISHTA’s Technical Committee today, developing industry standards and assisting with the production of information for Members and consumers.
Stephen Crabb commented “It is such an honour to be recognised at the BISHTA awards this year, for Outstanding Achievement. Winning this award means a lot to me, it’s is an acknowledgement of the hard work that’s been invested into the industry over the years and I’m delighted to have played my part in establishing BISHTA as a trade association to be the voice of our industry.”
The awards were organised by BISHTA, who represent over 100 specialist Hot Tub and Spa companies across the UK, with some overseas members. The evening highlighted the achievements of the Spa and Hot Tub industry by showcasing the best examples of design and innovation.
